- Graduated with a BS in Computer Science from University
of Maryland, College Park. Also met degree requirements for
BA in Philosophy.
- Two winning entries in IOCCC: Best Language Tool
and Most Obfuscated Algorithm
- Moved to College Station, Texas, to work at Software
Construction Company, a startup which wrote software for
PostScript printers

- SCC went out of business
- Contributed texture-mapping article to Mark Feldman's
PC Game Programming Encyclopedia
- Moved to Boston, Massachusetts to work for
LookingGlass Technologies
1996
- At end of year, quit LGT as employee,
became contractor
1997
- Wrote QMAP, a software Quake renderer in 2000 lines
of source
1998
- Went back to work for LGT (now Looking Glass Studios),
polishing Thief, and then quit again to do research.
1999
- Went back to work for LGS to work on rendering
engine for Thief III
- Gave talk at GDC HardCore Seminars on texture
map taxonomy

- Moved to Oakland, CA to continue indie game development

- wrote and released Chromatron, a freeware puzzle game
- by popular demand, released Chromatron 2, a not free sequel
